Bio: Hi my name is Mary Jayne Villarreal-Bonoan, photography, paper crafting and rubber stamping are my hobbies when I'm not working as County Clerk for our county. I decided to run for office when my mom decided to retire as combination County/District Clerk. Commissioners' Court decided to split the two offices and I ran for the position of County Clerk and was lucky enough to beat two competitive opponents. I love my job and hope to be allowed by my constituents to retire from that position some day (when I'm ready!) Prior to that I was Office Manager / Administrative Assistant for the County Attorney's Office for 14 years. I handled domestic violence cases, misdemeanors, and child protective cases among many other things.

My husband is Mike, he's a water works operator who also enjoys freelance photography and I'm proud to say that he also has four degrees in different areas of computers. Together we also have a small home based computer repair business.

In a nutshell, I'm a simple small town girl. Who's married to Mike, did I mention that I'm also in love with my dog Rowdy!!!
