Hearts of sadness
Submitted by: Sunshine Manz Spiggy
Author: Manasseh Bailey
Although it may seem impossible, small like
the size of your clenched fist, fragile like glass
and easy to shatter, easy to crack like old concrete, easy to
break like an egg, it hurts and sobs, it cries in the night and
under your pillow, it cries from loneliness, being left out, wanting
to be loved, feel loved, wanting to be wanted! Wanting to be found,
to be accepted It cries when love turns away from you, its child
hood memories flash in an instant, the deepest hurts and
wounded scars for life, the deepest words and
actions can not turn back time nor can
a heart beat in time. It strides
along for the future And
gives up stressing
a single word,
a single
beat.
Its heart of sadness,
I know all
the time
