For Freddy
Author: Claudia Martinez
When I walk into a clothing store, I see a shirt or a shoe you wore, I hear a a voice and turn around, praying it would be you I found, I just keep walking with a frown, and frown I've worn for a month and a week, it won't go away 'till you wake from your sleep, I know you'll be conscious again one day, but when you are it won't be the same, you won't remember the jokes that we made, the way you laughed just brightened my day, I still could hear your happy voice, its in my mind, I have no choice, I close my eyes and see your smile, your shining face makes my life still worthwhile, at this point my poem I'll conclude by saying, I miss you, I love you and get well soon.
