If life would let me lead,
the world would seem unfair
for in the mud I learn
the taste of my Lord's grace.

If chance would be my lead,
my life would be but crumbs.
I thank the Lord above
that He's the one in charge!

If my heart truly saw
the beauty of His love,
I would give Him my soul,
I would surrender ALL.

Yet, life is cruel indeed
for it has marked my heart.
I have become near sighted
and struggle just to trust.

Yet, He is faithful still
in the midst of my unfaithfulness.

I believe Him when He says
that He'll count my faith as righteousness.
