I wish it were a little bit longer for 2 reasons: 1: I mostly got this to use as a 3-ring punch for my 5.5x8 binders. If this were a little longer I could punch those pages easily with one punch but instead have to use the 2-punch method. 2. It is nice that the 5 punches that came with it connect together but if the unit were a little bit longer all of them could be stored inside of it. I know that if I bought additional punches this wouldn't be possible but it still would be convenient if the most common ones would.
