My husband, Brian, and I just bought our house a few weeks ago (in September). It's a house we've rented for 5 years, always with the option to buy it. When it was time for us to get a loan, we actually got approved for $50,000 more than this house is worth. So, we could've gone looking for "something bigger and better", but decided that this is just home to us. We had to stay where so many memories are and we look forward to many more years in our home. I wanted to use something other than the usual "Home Is Where The Heart Is", so I chose "Our Hearts Are Home" because that's how we felt when it was time to choose what house to buy. Our hearts are here, so we knew it was the right choice.
I hand-cut the heart (I wanted it to look kind of lopsided and playful).
The journaling reads:
Brian and I rented this house for 5 years. When it was time for us to buy a house, there was no other house we wanted. This was and is Home.
