So here's the thing my daughter... this is not going to be the last time that you are NOT going to understand why I made the decision that I did. My job, in addition to loving you, is to protect you. And there are going to be some things that I am going to have to say no to, regardless of whether or not you understand. One day you will be old enough to "get it" and hopefully then you will respect me for making the decisions that I did in years past. I love you more than life itself Ahna, and for that reason, when discomfort lodges in my heart and gut... I WILL say no. I believe that is one of God's ways of telling me how to answer... and I hope this is something that you become responsive to as well. Everything I do is in the best interest of you, beautiful, wonderful, child. Pout if you will, but above all, remember that.
