Description: I made a layout from scraps and opened packages today, giving myself a personal scrap the stash that is in front of you mission.

It is my reward for emptying yet another tote of paper and organizing it. Woo Hoo!
I found a piece of CTMH Hollyhock cardstock, with a heart ripped out of the bottom corner. Way to big to be trashed, and kind of large for the scraps bin. So I covered that ripped hole with a circle cut out of a scrap of Basic Grey, Urban Couture (stripe).

Then I happened upon a piece of Rouge de Garance from Memory Trends 2006. How long has IT been in the tote? I cut out the patterned bits and put them left and right.

Then I found a package of opened chipboard letters from Zsiage, sitting in a basket of leftover wood framing pieces (who knows what I will do with those!).

And then a couple of tiny Tinkering Ink 'Finery' samples - probably from a trade show. Sorry, they were on the bottom of the tote, along with the acrylic ribbon heart from Apple Pie Memories. Lest you concern yourself, the store owner I was with made large orders with both of those vendors. LOL!

Then a cut apart Hambly Urban Chic frames transparency, and some scraps of cardstock.

Finally, some Heidi Swapp ghost hearts, pink plastic letters, and American Tag silver heart clips along with some buttons.
Nothing was a whole piece, or an unopened package. Everything was from my existing supplies.

I printed my journaling on vellum and even though it looks really 'warbly', the heart is actually clear as glass - but my chandelier was having fun with it in the photo.

Journaling:

B. it is so sweet how you love your Barbie dolls. You have an incredible imagination. Some people would see a flowering tree. You see a fairy garden palace. I know that the girls in your {omitted} grade class have either moved beyond, or will not admit to playing with Barbies, but you continue to play with them with your little sister, C. and with our neighbor K., (who at 12 is a secret Barbie Girl too); as you did on this lovely Spring day at {omitted} Park in {omitted}. Keep being an individual. (and yes, I do hope you will be a Barbie Girl for a little while longer!)

The layout came together WICKED fast, including the journaling. Wow. That doesn't happen very often! I think I like this groove!
