SHCG: Sharon, you are such a creative little devil! I love this and all of your elements that you added. I would have never guessed that "scene" was a type because you are correct: it is perfectly fitting! Nice layout!
SHCG: Very cool that you actually woke up to type up a synopsis of a dream of such personal significance. Great use of non-scrappy media, with the nail polish and spray paint. I like how you used vellum on vellum, and I've always been a fan of your collages and the images you use--especially, the Gorey, Escher, Chagall, and Loera pieces. From a critical art perspective, I can see you taking more liberties with the Asian female images, in particular. By this I mean, more of those, altered, and muddied up as an artistic embodiment of your journaling. Another excellent cj contribution, Sharon, that captures troubled sleep so vividly!
SHCG: Very neat layout. I love the "non scrap" items you have made scrapping items. I wish some of the icons you included on the side were slightly larger though. Isn't it amazing what we come up with in the middle of the night?
This is my LO for Florrie/Three Bright Light's Dirty Rotten Scrappers' “Dreams and Realities” circle journal about an actual dream we had & its meaning. The dream I focused on was from the '90s, it had so much symbolism & was so riveting that I woke up that night at 4:30AM & typed up a synopsis!
For the background, I took patterned cs & painted it w/ black & silver spray paint & a pearly pink nail polish. I really dug how it turned out but I had to cover a lot of it up w/ my extensive journaling.
The title was a grammatical error (using “scene” instead of “seen”) I made in an early draft of the journaling that I realized was too fitting to discard once I realized the slip-up.
I've blurred info I'd prefer to keep private on this.
LO includes bits of art from MC Escher, Kris Waldherr, Amy Zerner, Edward Gorey, Marc Chagall, Claude Monet, Ladislao Loera & Jay Palefsky.
It was a blast, & very thought provoking, to delve into the meaning of an actual dream...I had the summary of this written years ago & had an idea of what things meant, but had never fully explored that. So thanks, Florrie!
