Journaling: Surveying the vast ocean before him, Alec lost his nerve and turned toward the safety of our blanket. Aunt Dee and Uncle Adam coaxed him back to the shoreline, covering their hands in wet sand and letting the waves magically wash the mess away. Intrigued, Alec dug into the sand, observed the mud on his fingers, and happily exclaimed, "Yucky!!!" He was splashing around in the shallow water in no times and was on his way to becoming a certified beach baby. - 7/29/07
