journaling: I think it's fair to say that ***** was not ready for a cousin when her first cousin was born. She was just not ready to share her beloved Aunt *****. And it showed. But she so looked forward to *****'s birth. She truly loved ***** before she was even born. This time around she gladly shared her aunt, her brother, even her mother. She looked forward to holding *****, feeding *****, entertaining *****, even changing *****. Her cousin-ly instincts are definitely there. We just had to give them time to emerge on their own. ~ February ‘08
