Description: DD 'graduated' from her second year of brownies and got this purple and pink certificate. She *hates* purple and pink. I decided to make a layout for her album that made note of all the things she doesn't like about Brownies and how she loves Brownies despite all the girly-girly things we do there.
Journaling reads: I may not like pinka and purple. Going to dances sure is not my thing. I don't particularly like to make purses or bracelets of teeny tiny beads. I fell asleep during the Girl Scout outing to see the Nutcracker. And there are days I sure don't want to spend time with **** but somehow... I still love Brownies! (a bunch of the journaling is cut off because I didn't want to scan the layout 4 times in order to get it all).

The pink and purple papers in this layout came out of my 'ugly' paper pile. Not that the paper is all that ugly. But in *this* house, with *this* little girl.... it's not destined to be used.... or so I thought.

Photos aren't printed yet. They *won't* feature pink and purple since I want to highlight just now much these girly things *don't* jive with who my daughter is.

*CS* LOL about the total dislike of pink and purple. Hooray for her knowing what she likes! I have to agree that it would be nice to see the certificate.

CS: Very sweet! I love the journaling. I agree that I'd want to be able to read the certificate! Any way you can make a coordinating page, or include it as a pull-out instead of a background? Looking forward to seeing the completed page!

CS-Great idea for a LO, can't wait to see it with the pictures. My only suggestion would be to make it 2 pages so you could read the certificate.
