Ok, love this, too :) I like how all the different patters and torn edges give it a crazy, frantic kind of feel, just like the story in the journalling (hilarious, btw) :P
Hilarious story...my vote would be for a RUSH/URGENT stamp. Another option on the binder clip line would be those silver x-shaped clips that lie flatter. I think they switch out the office floors like that on purpose, y'know!
SHCG: This is just hysterical....though I can relate. In my early 20s I was known to use the mens restrooms at concerts because the lines were shorter....they never said a word, just looked confused. Love all the tearing on this. I do like Brenda's idea of gold brads or binder clips. maybe a "confidential" stamp would be cool too. Love it, thanks for sharing.
SHCG: ROFLMAO- Don't be too embaresed, I've done this a time or two my self :) I LOVE your LO, the vivid colors and artsy feel are perfect for this halarious story :)
SHCG: Ok, I must admit I'm going to wait to read the story until I see the cj. But that being said, I absolutely love all the colors that are going on in this lo! Word. All the layering, the colors, the textures... it's all just awesome!
shcg:i'm not quite sure what to say here. this is really different. it gives the mood of the story so well. it gives me an anxiety attack just looking at it.MEANING- when i try to put elements like this together and try to make them look this good, i about end up in the hospital. this is great, the story is great and i am not going to try to lift this. if i sound a bit psychotic, maybe it is coming to that.
SHCG: Oh my goodness this was an hysterical story! I could totally see myself doing something like this but thank God I havent (yet!). I totally dig the colors & pp's you used here. The placement of the "mens room" dude makes this even funnier although I feel for that beautiful, horrified looking girl in the picture! You poor thing! LOL
SHCG: You lifted me? I love that! :-) I am verklempt (sp?). I need a moment. Ok, *sniff* I think I am ok. I love the story that you wrote here. It is fabulously hilarious! Bwahahahahaha! Sorry, had to laugh a bit. I really love everything about this. I love the way you extended and added to what I had! Makes me want to go back and add some things to mine. :-) My only suggestion would be to mount that hilariously cute photo on a piece of hot pink paper to make it pop off the black background a bit. Otherwise, I love everything here and wouldn't change a thing! Thank you so much for lifting me and doing such a fabulous job of it!
SHCG: This is a fabulous lift of one of my fave los by Tiff (maybe, I'm a tad biased). I am impressed by how you managed to interpret the original over a two-page spread. I am also happy to see your use of tearing, journaling in three different inks, and drawing your own title out by hand. Some great touches are the restroom sign strips, the Post-It flags, and the turquoise inking. My absolute favorite element is your choice of bold pps. I like the brads, but I'm wondering if you can't go more office-y with gold brads, instead, or paper clips--not the everyday kind, but the ones with the black tops that you have to open, pinch, and flip back to close. KWIM? I love your picture, too, with that utterly stressed out look on your face, and the solarized effect to it; but, I would have really loved to see a picture of a restroom stall with pigeon-toed heels peeking out from underneath. Really, this is such a strikingly fun page!
LOL! Funny story and I like how you did the journaling in different ink! Also, love the way you did the photo! Love, love the strip with the man symbol on the bottom! Well, to sum it all up-great lo! Hope you are used to the new " gig" already!
SHCG: I love it and really enjoy your take on the challenge! The only thing I would consider adding is more three-dimensional elements (perhaps a few more brads or something placed on the polka dot paper) because I love the post it notes and the brads you did include and I want to see even more. (Funny story too!)
SHCG: I think this is AWESOME! I wouldn't change a thing! I love the torn papers and the inked edges. The pic is perfect for the story which is just hilarious!
This is my LO for Stacey/jakndian's Dirty Rotten Scrapper's Oh Mi Gawd circle journal (8x8) re: embarrassing moments. This is also my response to Janet/janet28rn's LIFT Away challenge for Scrap Happenzz CG to lift a LO from one of our members. This is a lift of Tiffany/whenscraphappenzz's “My Own Private Concert” LO - http://scrapbook.com/galleries/147509/view/1384029/-1/0/1.html
There's an office theme going here, so I used lined paper, post-it document flags & highlighters. The black brads were an '07 SHCG birthday gift from Sarah; there are 2 to the left of the photo that are kind of hard to see online.
My story's a bit G-rated compared to the ones that have been shared in this book but it was the 1st thing I thought of because it was recent & vivid…plus it shook me up so much at the time that I didn't even tell my newfound work pals about it! So rather than delving into my past for something naughtier, I chose this story… The pic on the left was a goofy one I found that sums up how I felt when this happened…I was both horrified & cracking up inside!
Thanks to Stacey for a fun topic, Janet for an inspirational challenge & Tiff for a terrific LO to lift!
