Description: this is the first "heritage" type layout Ive done. This is my husbands mother we are guessing to be around 2-3 yrs old. There are very few pictures more than 20 years ago as many had gotten lost in a house fire.

The stitching on the side I did using a technique I saw in Scrapperliciouses blog where you stitch in one direction then come back across the other direction and add beads on that time around. It looks so pretty in person.

This is also my first attempt at an all white layout and I really loved it. There is a piece of embossed cardstock in the background with a smaller piece of Bazzill on the front. The chipboard shape is backed with a piece of polka dotted vellum. There is an organza ribbon scrunched up under all the flowers with pieces of crocheted lace tucked in here and there. There are 38 flowers in all of many different types and styles. The 2 ghost flowers I polka dotted around the edges with white pen.

Wow BJ!!! You did excellently with your first monochromatic. And the criss cross stitching came out fabulously. Love the extra beads; gives it a classy touch. I'd say do more heritage pages!!!
