Journaling: First Date. Date: May 13, 2006. Place: Simone's Jazz Club, Madison & Woodburn. It took a few days, but Keith finally asked me out for dinner at Simone's. I was under the impression that he was never going to ask me out and was tempted to show up for our date in jeans and gym shoes. He was late and soon after arriving, I learned that his cousins, Peewee and San, would be joining us for dinner. I ended up giving them directions while Keith chopped on his dinner. They finally joined us and we had a great time laughing and listening to Kathy Wade's performance. It was on that date that Peewee warned Keith to “Get your pre-nup, cuz!”

First Kiss. Date: May 18, 2006. Place: LaRosa's Parking Lot, Springfield Pike. Keith and I met at LaRosa's for dinner following his weekly haircut. We fed our faces and chatted. Following dinner we walked out of the restaurant and were standing in the parking lot talking. The entire time, Keith is staring at my mouth…I don't think he heard a word I said. We kiss….and I have butterflies in my stomach all the way home. I felt 13 years old all over again.
