Description: Henry Bullock was the son of William Bullock 1776-1860's and Magdalene Hickman. They were pioneers to upper east Tn.. Henry married Louisa who was a lot younger than he. She was the daughter of Adam Shipley and born 1798 in Tn and
Eleanor Holt born 1802 in North Carolina. This picture of Louisa looks exactly like my grandmother Nettie when she got older. In searching my family tree I have found so many interesting things, one thing I found on a census record is that Lousia's mother Eleanor was classified as a Clubfoot. and her son was a Shoemaker I have always felt the made shoes because of his mother. Another interesting thing is my Father was born with his feet turned around and my grandmother worked and did what I guess would now be called therapy they said ever so gently turning his feet until they came out ok...Back in those days they did not have the drs or special shoes that grandmother would have needed so she did what she could but daddys feet turned out ok and another interesting fact is my nieces were both born with turned in feet and they had to wear special shoes..Guess there is something in the Genes..
This was an old tin type photo that was in my Great Grandmothers little photo album and was in very bad condition.. Idid the best I could to bring it out.
My cousin Blueridge and I have both done this pic before but I was not happy with mine and still dont know about this one..
