Give a Cheer
This was actually a challenge on the Cricut messageboard. Someone mentioned that they needed an ant, knew they could use three circles for the head, middle, and body, but what about the antennae and legs? I took the challenge, and created this. It is the very first thing I have ever created "from scratch" with Design Studio. I haven't cut this out yet, but I think he could work on a picnic LO or any summery LO.
I used Plantin Schoolbook for all the circles. For the antennae, legs, and smile, I used All Mixed Up. That little cart is quite versatile. Turn the lowercase "c" on its side and stretch it out, and you have a smile. Flip the L's backwards and attach them to little ovals, and attach the ovals to dashes on their sides and you have legs. Stretch out two lowercase c's, add a tiny oval in the middle (a "joint"), and you have an antenna. Repeat for the second.
I really wanted to add shoes, but wasn't sure how to go about it and didn't want to mess it up. Once I got into it, I discovered that creating my own files is fun and VERY creative. And in a tech way, still playing in scrappy goodness.
