My grand daughter, Ashli, with her bird, Dobbie. Her and Dobbie kinda "grew up" together. He moved in with her when he was just a baby, didn't even have his feathers yet!! They were both babies together!! She doesn't get to see Dobbie very much anymore because he is not living with her now!! Dobbie has moved up in the world to become a "Service Bird"!!! He serves at the V.A., and at libraries. Hopefully soon he will be able to work in hospitals, too! He brings a lot of joy into the lives of our veterans, people who are sick, disabled, or homeless!!!
He is missed, but he does get to come back home from time to time, and when he does, he gets to stay weekends with Ashli!! He has actually been willed to Ashli, so he will come back to her for good at a later date!
Put this in the "every child should" challenge. Chose "every child should do something to make the world a better place". Ashli is only 3, but she knows what her bird is doing, and that he is making a difference!!!
this is the first time I tried making my own stamped frame. Usually I use transparancies, but thought, how hard could it be to make one??? Well, kinda hard, lol!!!! I messed up a few!! But I'm satisfied with this one!
