It's Nov already!   (1 comment, 17 views) Saturday, 03 November 2007
I don't know if I should be starting a blog when I should be getting dressed for my massage! Owen's Community college has a massage therapy program and on Weds and Sat their students give 1 hr massages for $20. I've been putting off getting a massage because of the cost and our current situation, but I couldn't pass this up! Thanks to my new yahoo scrappin in Toledo group I found out about this from one of the gals. I'll have to report back later with the results! hehehe.

Tim has been off chemo for about a month now. He had an MRI and then a PET scan. The MRI showed no cancer in the bone marrow. The doc saw a spot on his vertebrae. So the results were a relief! Then he had a PET scan about a week ago and it showed no new "hot" spots. So the Chemo Oncologist has referred Tim back to the surgeon. This is where we started and the surgeon wanted him to get the cancer shrunk since it was pretty large. So Tues morning we will find out if the surgeon wants to do surgery or if he thinks radiation will shrink it some more. Tim had 8 cycles of chemo covering 4months. The toxicity was getting to be too much and at 4 cycles the tumor had already shrunk to half it's size!

Noah's been doing pretty good in his new classes. He found a new friend and has been at his house since Thurs evening. He also belongs to the gardening club at school and did a winterizing of said garden the other day and brought home green tomatoes, green peppers and onions. Where is that green tomato wine recipe?? My dad had to make it once when I was in college I think. It looked like the most awful stuff fermenting but it was a sweet great tasting wine when done.

Mitch is still having problems at his Dad's and is considering moving out in month when he turns 18. Mind you he is still in his senior year of high school. He has a friend who's parents agreed to make room for him. We'll have to see what this all entails. I hope to have him come here for Thanksgiving so we can see about applying for colleges.

Tim's been on Disability from work for about a month now. Things are getting pretty tight moneywise. Tim's mom is a great help she calls every week to see what we need. Well time to go get ready for that hour massage! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Hope you had a wonderful massage. Glad to hear that Tim's treatment is working. I'll still keep praying!
