Here it is Sunday. Tim got the Chemo and pump on Weds and then had it pulled on Friday. We saw the Chemotherapy Oncologist on Friday before the pump was pulled. He wants Tim to do two more cycles of Chemo, which means four more weeks as he gets it for 48 hrs/one two week period. Then he wants him to get a PET or CAT scan, depending upon of course which the insurance will pay for since he only had one of each of these just a month ago or so. Then he will meet with him again and from there they will compare the previous scans with the current one to see what direction the future will hold. It seems kind of scary to put off the surgery, but then again they are treating the cancer. So we are on hold again. Side effects didn't seem to bad this time, other than the pins and needles feeling with cold, the metallic taste in his mouth and fatigue on Sunday. Seems like Sunday is when everything catches up with him and unfortunately it's also his first day of work for his work week. He called in, thankfully he has already filled out FMLA paperwork for work.
Saturday we went to the Glass Pavilion. You may have seen photos in my gallery of the opening last August. Noah, a neighbor kid and I went then. It was a Sunday so of course Tim was at work. So this time just Tim and I went as we're the only ones here We got to watch a glass blowing demo. I really enjoyed that and thought maybe it would be something Noah would be interested in. I'd be interested in learning how to make glass beads. They hold several different classes there. So maybe this fall we'll see about taking some. I'll have more photos once we download them from the camera. Tim is a great photographer and of course take oodles of pictures when we go just about anywhere!
Interesting conversation between Tim and his son Ian. Ian told Tim that his mother told him (Ian) that Tim wouldn't be around next year. Tim asked Ian why and Ian said because you'll be dead because of the cancer. Tim told Ian that's not true. Ian says so you'll live to be 101? And Tim said yeah. Can you believe that!
When we dropped Ian off on Friday she asked Tim if he was still working. Tim said why are you worried if I'm on medical or not? She said I just wanted to know. Worried about child support I suppose.
I'm in a blah mood today...just taking time to process all this information I guess. I'm not fond of sitting at home either. I did get out today and bought some polar fleece to make Tim's sister a jacket. But when it's summer I don't even want to think about sewing fleece!
Well I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Tim is so brave to be going through all of this, and so are you. Ian's mother sounds like a real "charming" woman (dripping with sarcasm). That's good that Ian opened up to Tim. Glad to hear that you had a good time at the Glass Pavilion!
