So some of you got in my tag that I am unemployed.  Yes it sucks, but also it's nice not to be so stressed constantly. This of course, happened in my birthday week.  Tues March 4 I celebrated my birthday and on that Friday I was let go. I have been putting out resumes a couple or more times a week and hopefully something will come up soon.  I did get a call today about a position and hopefully will hear back later this week for an interview. At first, Tim was going to quit radiation and chemo and go back to work.  I said you  only have about three weeks to go you're not going to quit.  A friend of ours who is also going through a similar situation said good luck on them releasing you.  She has asked a few times to be released.

Tomorrow is Tim's last day of chemo...hopefully for a very long time.  This time around he's worn the bag all weekly and gets weekly refills.  Wanna guess how many times i've bumped the needle in his chest??  More than I'd have liked, but why did they have to put it on my cuddle side??   Wednesday is Tim's last day of radiation.  I think we should definitely celebrate don't you?

Today is the second time we've received a gift card to Kroger's Grocery store from an unidentified person(s).  It is so nice to get something like this, but a bit unnerving when the return address is our address.  Of course, we'd like to thank the person(s) involved too!  It truly is a blessing to us and we are truly thankful.

Noah has been testing us.  I know it's the 14 going on 15 thing.  But sometimes, it's just a bit much.  All of you who have teenagers now or in the past know what I mean.  He's learned that he has to participate in this family and do chores.  He thinks that if he goes to live with his dad he wouldn't have to do anything.  I said what makes you think that?  He says because when he goes there to visit he doesn't have to.  I said visiting is one thing you are not usually asked to do much then, but if you live there you will have chores you can count on it.  He also learned that a neighbor kid his age has chores to do before he can do anything else!  We asked his friend about this and that's what he said!  Tim and I applauded him.  Later we were watching TV in our room and Noah and his friend were out here and I heard his friend say to Noah "So you don't have to do anything around here"?

Thought I'd leave you with a pic of the sweet treat Tim made me for my birthday.  He was making a chocolate pie and had a little left over so he made this.  I am one lucky gal!   As you can see I was scrappin at the time.  I walked out into the kitchen and he was like go sit down!  LOL I was like okay?! And then he came out with this.  Scrapbook page to come later.

This was very sweet of Tim! I hope you find employment very soon. I know exactly what you mean with the battle of chores and teens. My kids pulled in mostly A's (sometimes straight A's) and would pull the "What? You want me to do chores instead of homework?" routine. Oy! I swear that it takes more effort to get them to help than it does to just clean things myself.
