What a nice gift I got today!  From my friend and neighbor:

Sooooo many fibers, a pile of nice heavy cardstock (in the back), and lots and lots of diecuts... plus a daisy die because she knows I am leading a daisy troop.  She's *so* sweet.   Can't wait to use of it!

Since I'm feeling guilty about all the money I'm spending I've decided to start paying myself for my layouts and limiting my spending that way.  I'll even make it retroactive since I think I can hunt down all my purchases since I started scrapping again.  I'm going to start at $2 per page, $4 per 2-pg layout.  I think that that will be fine given my *current* tastes (not much high-end stuff) and *current* level of embellishment.  We'll see how 'choked' I feel by the budget.  Thank goodness for all the stuff I stockpiled when I first started :-)

That being said I did go to a LSS for the first time today and I must admit to truly *loving* some of what I saw.  I so didn't want to love Basic Grey since it seems *so* popular but the 1 thing that I saw that I just *had* to have was a ($4!) sheet of basic grey monograms.  Used that to pick out another sheet of PP and 10 sheets of coordinating Bazzill.  DD was along.  DD *hates* shopping and especially hates  craft stores (I take so long in them) but she was surprised at how small the LSS was and then got in to looking at stuff and found some baseball charms she loved.  So I got her those and will work them into some of layouts and let her use a few on her own layouts (she's only done 1 so far but I have hopes she'll keep it up).

No scrapping today.  Too much running around.
