Native American Prayer   (1 comment, 6 views) Tuesday, 08 April 2008

I read this at another site today.  Although it made me cry, it also made me feel good.  Thought I'd share it.

Native American Prayer

Do not think of me and weep,

I am with you still - - I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on the snow,

I am the sunlight on ripen grain,

I am the gentle Autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush,

of quite birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not think of me and cry,

I am with you still - - I did not die.

Very beautiful prayer and a wonderful one to recite to oneself. No matter how old we are there is nothing like the loss of a mother. She is irreplacable, but God's amazing grace can keep us. Praying for you.

Blessings!
