Sunday is here and I need to pack   (6 views) Sunday, 04 May 2008
I'm headed to the airport for a 2:30 flight to Chicago where I arrive with enough time to check in and decide whether I want to hit the fitness center to maybe walk or run on the treadmill, get a manicure, have some dinner, etc.  Maybe all of the above?  Tomorrow I sit in on a new hire orientation that is an entirely new and different program at my company.  The purpose of my attending is that we have not yet rolled in out in my region and so I am one of two who gets to observe the way it's supposed to be done before we actually attempt in Washington DC.  Exciting stuff.  It's supposed to be NONE of the normal dry and boring stuff that everyone dreads when they hear they're spending their entire first day in orientation.  Monday night I head for San Francisco for a Tuesday training session that I'll be teaching.  Afterward I'm meeting a friend who I've known for a dozen years online but have never met in person.  She's an amazing woman who is a writer/poet and is attending Stanford U on full scholarship to finish her degree. She will be only the 2nd of the 5 ladies in our online discussion group that I'll meet in real life.  Wednesday is a re-run of Tuesday with a 9 a.m. training session after which I'll head for the airport and arrive back in Washington on the wrong side of the 3 hr time difference.
