Started my Christmas Present Projects   (5 comments, 169 views) Thursday, 01 November 2007

There's nothing like cool air and Halloween over to get me in the mood to undertake my Christmas gift projects.  This morning I pulled out the BasicGrey Lunchpail Card Organizer Kits I'd picked up in the Superstore to make.  I'm so excited!  The paper colors are vibrant and the card instructions are so easy to follow.

I have five kits to put together for some great women in my life.  Two of the girls work so I went shopping yesterday for travel-size hair spray, toothbrush and paste, comb, etc.   I will tuck this items in the kits along with the cards and postage stamps.  I read about this idea on our boards and am so thrilled someone would share it - it's so practical AND fun for my working buddies.

Here's a link to the lunchpail kits so you can get a visual on what I'm talking about; they're so great!!!

Hope you have a great day.  What holiday gift ideas do you have up your sleeve?

I love making these lunchpails - I make one for my daughter every year and fill it with items like you mention above plus tylenol, cough drops, stuff like static guard, gum, her favorite candy, and little notes from mom for tough days at work. She loves them all! I am sure your gift tins will be loved for years!

I kind of wish I had also done the Lunchpail idea for my girlfriends! They're so cute! This year I'm going to make altered clocks for friends and family. I practiced on this one for myself:

I like making Christmas ornaments - this year my 5 year old niece and I made some sour dough ones we then painted. I am also going to paint wooden ones with her before Christmas comes. My favorite gift to make is the Studio 18 Photo Frame Calendars for my boyfriend every year. Last year after he opened his, I told him I almost didn't have time to make it and finished it up pretty late Christmas eve. He said he would have been really sad he didn't have one to look at each month all year if I hadn't...
