Jill's Challenge (Day 12): Magnetic Frame Masterpiece - Guitar Strings & Quote   (6 comments, 187 views) Friday, 21 September 2007

Frame Idea #12 (final frame idea)

McKane is a songwriter, poet, guitar player and can't get enough of his family. His favorite photos can be woven through actual guitar strings or secured with guitar part magnets. The quote reminded me so much of him and takes up the space generally used for a photo. There's a guitar key (top right) he can hang his keys ring on - it really turns. The patterned paper came from my "favorites" stash and sadly, it's been discontinued. The paper was distressed with two colors of Tim Holtz ink.

**Please note:

I've been able to visit some of your My Places to see your Magnetic Masterpieces--I love what you're doing. There's still time to participate in this challenge -- you could be the lucky winner of the Love, Elsie frame in Frame Idea #1. Be sure to post the link to your challenge entry when there so I will know you're participating. Good luck to everyone!!!

Love it! Logan is learning to play the guitar now, so I might have to make him a frame like this. Great pics, too! What a cutie-patootie! :)

Someone sent a PM and asked where I got the guitar parts...I assured her that all of the family guitars and drums weren't maimed for this project. I visited the repairs dept. of our local music store (Milano's) and asked if I could purchase used parts. They were VERY accomodating, especially when they understood I would be using them for "ART". LOL
