I love to alter things with my favorite collection packs from BasicGrey: Hang10 and Vagabond.
I wanted to take a quick minute to share some of my latest "office supply" creations with you. Take a look at the images below and use your own creativity to alter some regular household items around your home into something you will love to look at and use every day.
My Clipboard: Note how the black Rub-On design and the Monogram letter accent the paper so beautifully. Also, the fibers are perfets for any BasicGrey project. I used my Crop-A-Dile to make the holes in the clipboard so I could attach the fibers.

My small, desk top (for my SB.C office) address book with my most important contacts: Note: the divider tabs and initials on the cover front are the alphabet circles that come in the file folders punch-out kit.

My desk calendar for quick date reference: Note: This is actually a photo holder I received for Christmas and just love. It's in my home office/studio and the stand/base works as an easel to hold papers and notepads. The backside of the calendar has a year-at-a-glance calandar and I change the front calendar each month. The calendars might look familiar to you. I enlarged those in the Memory Dock Planner. They're a perfect color and fit. There are BasicGrey magnets between the front and back calendar base so I can stick an important note up as needed.

My larger address book with all my contacts from past and present: Note: The tabs were either cut from paper or are the exact tags that come with the kit. I used the small alphabet stickers on the tabs. The book was Mod Podged for stability and sprayed with a coat of acrylic sealer. Check out how beautiful the Rub-Ons are on the cover (the filigree/vines) . After this photo was taken, I added the Rub-On alphabet stickers to enhance each large letter on the divider pages - gorgeous like the accents on the cover.

Stitching around the layered pockets reinforced each as do the folded over paper strips (stitched along the edge too) and the brads in the corners. The bottom left hand corner is a mini clipboard for quick memos, phone messages to get to or whatever. On the top edge of the top pocked you'll see a brown tab. I slipped a small "D-ring" through a loop of ribbon and stitched it into the paper edge. I'll embellish with fibers or hang my pen from it. There's also a decorative paper clip slipped over the top pocket edge. Lots of places for business cards, notes and reminders.

The heart was machine stitched as were the edges of each tab and divider.
I entered all of my addresses (A-Z) into a Word file on my compter and can change or print each list easily. Updating isn't a problem anymore and everything stays in alphabetical order. I made sure the pages in this book were the same size as those in my Memory Dock Day Planner so the format would work in both places and my computer.

Thanks for looking. I hope this will inspire you to put your own personal touch on items you love.
