Lazy Saturday - too hot!

It was 115 degrees here in Phoenix today. It just amazes me how hot it gets here - and I have lived here all my life! But I have been in the house all day today doing practically nothing. What did we do before the internet and digital cameras? If I could get one of those chairs or couches with the refrigerator in them and put it in my living room, I could probably survive out of that one room - T.V., phone, DVD/VHS player, books, Ipod with earphones and a speaker, radio, camera and of course, my laptop! Who needs anything else! Oh yes, and my scrapbooking supplies! I need to get busy. I have had two glorious weeks off for summer break and four more to go. I just love getting up whenever and just doing whatever in the morning. I will be leaving the house in a few minutes to take DS to work. I am kind of a nervous driver and he is 19 and doesn't drive. But I have signed him up for a driving class and next Saturday he will take the full day class and get his permit. Then he gets 6 hours behind the wheel training and they give him the driving test. After dropping him off at work, DH and I will be cooking chicken, veggies and salad. I am trying to take the carbs out of some of my meals. No potatoes or rice. I even did the treadmill this morning! Tomorrow DH is off so that will be a fun day. Enjoy and stay cool!
