Stranded, but weekend still OK

Well, I got in my car on Saturday to drive through the bank and then drive through somewhere to get lunch and go home and then go to my hair appt at 1:30. I was going to take the dog with me for the short ride. She loves to go for rides - unless they are to the vet! So I get in the car and turn the key and nothing happens. So back in the house the dog and I go. I call DH at work and he says it might be the battery. They don't last long here in the Arizona heat and it had been almost 2 years since I replaced it. I made a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch and spent the afternoon organizing my scrap stuff and watching gymnastics and the Belmont Stakes on TV. And I had to cancel my hair appt. Bummer. My DS and I had gone to see Jerry Seinfeld the night before and the car was fine. I am grateful I didn't get stranded anywhere. My son bought us the Seinfeld tickets for mother's day. We had a great time. He was very funny. We love the Seinfeld show and still watch it every night on tv. Anyway, when DH got home we replaced the battery and guess what - that wasn't it! It seems it is probably the starter. So tomorrow I have to get the car towed before I go to work and have DH take me to work. I only have 2 days left of work for the summer - oh yeah! Today we wend to DH's son's house for grandson's birthday. He turned six on Friday. He is such a cutie! We played the WII. That was fun. So my weekend didn't turn out quite as I expected, but that's what the weekends are for, right?
