I never thought of myself as a "natural" parent until I had a baby. I never made a conscious decision to practice attachment parenting...I just do what feels right and then one day I realized here I am being "crunchy" (term used on another site).
We just started using cloth diapers. If someone had told me a year ago that I would be using cloth diapers I would have said, "You're crazy!" lol. But it is so much better for the environment, not to mention our budget. I got a few dipes given to me and I've made quite a few out of fleece, so it has been cheap. It is definitely not as much work as I ever thought it would be.
More and more I am feeling like I need to make better choices for the environment and more responsible choices with how we spend our money and things. I'm trying more to buy second-hand things. It is a *small* step to not buy new things. It's just one less thing that has to be produced. Before I never did b/c even though we're on a budget we can still afford to buy new things and not all second-hand things. But, it's not about what we can do, but what we should do. I've come to think it is more responsible to do this.
Anyway, this has been a blog about "anything" for the January AGC...it's the first stuff that came to my mind :)
