(Journaling challenge for AGC December).

First of all, there have been MANY single people who have changed our world (Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr....etc).  So, I definitely believe that one person can have a large, immediate and direct impact on the world.

However, what I believe in even more pressingly is the inadvertant impact that each and every person has the potential to make on the world, even without doing anything grand.  I believe in the impact that we have on each other's lives, which leads to a ripple effect.  A simple kind word or smile can brighten someone's day and lead to more and more things.  A good teacher doing his/her job can change a community and I think that impact can eventually change "the world."
