Heading out for Mexico in just a few hours with very little sleep and a small Kia packed like you have never seen in your LIFE! Ok, this may not be a very big deal to some of you gals but to me, this is HUGE. ALI EDWARDS has joined this site!!!! I am a HUGE fan of hers and love everything she touches. I spent the day with my mom, sister, BIL, SIL, their 3 boys (my godsons), my 2 nieces (sister's girls), my dh and all six of my children. Dh cooked steaks on the grill and I made salads and homemade fries. Later, we had pumpkin pie and fresh strawberries and then watched the kids throw water balloons at each other-- I had filled them all up the night before. He underwent cataract surgery this morning on the right eye and everything went great. He is resting now and can see a difference already. He will have the left eye done in September and it will be the first time in almost 30 years that he has good vision. Now that he can see, he'll probably want a divorce..hehehe ;)

It has been 5 years since my MIL's mastectomy so we thought her breast cancer was far behind us and we were in the clear. We were wrong. Three days ago, we found out her cancer is back and in the form of lung cancer. She has fluid in both of her lungs and one lung is larger than the other. She is to return to her doctor on Friday for more tests and so we can look at the options we have for therapy. We are devastated to say the least.
