My youngest ds woke up at 3 a.m. and had a bad dream. I took him to the bathroom and got him all tucked back into bed and he was fine. However, I could not go back to sleep! After an hour and a half of tossing and turning, I decided to get up. I know I will be dragging later on, but I was able to get some work I have been wanting to upload into my gallery. Some of the clarity on the pics are ...

Fishing for Truth
Luann Prater
"But so that we may not offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours."
Matthew 17:27 (NIV)

I spent the day with my mom, sister, BIL, SIL, their 3 boys (my godsons), my 2 nieces (sister's girls), my dh and all six of my children.
Dh cooked steaks on the grill and I made salads and homemade fries. Later, we had pumpkin pie and fresh strawberries and then watched the kids throw water balloons at each other-- I had filled them all up the night before. I also got some funny pics of my mo...

Happy Mother's day! My DS came home from college last Thursday so he was home for mother's day. He has finished his first year and is back home for the summer. DH had to work today, so DS took my friend and I to lunch. Then DH grilled steak for dinner. I had planned to have shrimp too, but forgot to cook them! Oh well, the steak and baked potato were delicious. And I didn't have to cook or ...

I really did!!! I am walking for Autism Speaks in Cleveland in September and I got some donations today! It really touched me heart in a way I can't explain. For a scrapper I don't know very well to donate to my walk has truly touched me heart. I am always amazed at the ability for one person to touch another person, and this is just one more example of that. Seriously in tears just thinking ...

It was a difficult day. A day of reflection; a day of recalling special times with my mom; a day of recalling the not so special times... When someone is a part of your daily life, it is more than memories....it's life that you recall. It's replays of times gone bye. The little things, like certain things I would say that would make my mom laugh....the kind of laugh that no sound would come......

For Mother's Day my middle ds's class made these little survival kits. They contain:
1. Toothpick: to remind me to pic out the good qualities in others.
2. Rubberband: to remind me to be flexible!
3. Band-aid: to remember to help heal hard feelings: mine and other's.
4. Paper and pencil: to remember to count my blessings every day.
5. Eraser: to remember that we all make mistakes and it's OK.

Just signed up for my first challenge ! Am I excited or what. A little bit apprehensive as well, knowing some of the talent I am up against.
This will be a learning experience for sure. Might as well jump right into it. Sometimes I think I almost enjoy the interaction with the scrappers more than the actutal working on lo's.

So nice to be home - it took several days to recuperate from the trip. I don't think I could take a steady diet of travel especially if it involved being on my feet so much. I was wiped out between the time difference and standing for 8 hours training plus the lugging my stuff back and forth. It was a great trip - don't mean to whine...I wouldn't have experienced the W hotel if not for the wor...

First of all, I want to wish everyone a happy mother's day! Second I would like to share a poem that my Great-Grandma wrote: Look to God
Look at the blue sky, the billowing clouds,
Look at the mountains in misty shrouds,
Look at the green grass, the flowers that grow,
Look at the beauty here below.
Look at the heavens and know God is there,
And He planned it all with infinite care.
Look at the...
